I am trying to find Ian Agnew born around 1932. His father was called Hilary Alexander Agnew who died in 1952. He has two sisters Audrey and Shelaugh. Lived in scotland. Descendants from the Agnew's Of Lochnaw. Any help would be appreciated.

Hilary Alexander Agnew was born in Dundee in 1893 and died in Surrey in 1952.

His father was Hilary Agnew, born 28 May 1857 in St Peter Port, Guernsey, died 1 November 1913 in Newport, Fife.

His grandfather was Thomas Hilary Agnew, born in St Peter Port, Guernsey in 1824.

His great-grandfather was James Agnew (1790-1851) who was born in St Peter Port, Guernsey.

My connection is via Elizabeth Jane Scott Cochrane (1869-1914), wife of Hilary Agnew (1857-1913). I have no more information about the previous generations of Agnews, but I am interested in anything about the descendants of Elizabeth Jane Scott Cochrane or Agnew.

I don't see a marriage for her in Scotland , England, or Wales - at least not giving her middle initial.

If you buy credits on Scotlands People you can view the 1911 census, and see if Hilary and Elizabeth had any more children by then.

Thanks, ArgyllGran. :-) I have in fact seen all the Scottish certificates and census returns relating to Hilary Agnew and his wife Elizabeth Jane Scott Cochran and their family, and I have some further information about their descendants. I was only really replying to Emily's message looking for Ian, Audrey and Shelaugh Agnew.
