Born in Scotland married to Eliza Stevenson .Had five children
Elizabeth
John Ritchie
Catherine Baxter
Martin (died at 5 months )
Edith Holmes
Father worked as an engineer in John Browns shipyard in Glasgow
The family lived at 77 Albert Avenue in the Langside area of Glasgow having moved there from 5 Wood Street Shawlands in the late 1890s.
The son John Ritchie Wilkie Junior went to Australia in 1912 and never returned
Elizabeth (Cissie) stayed single and looked after her parents and ended up living at 15 Bellisle street Crosshill Glasgow until her death in the 1970s
Catherine Baxter (Queenie) married Benjamin Smith Bearn and had three children and moved to London in 1939 died 1962
Edith married George Kinloch Fyffe (but when ) and I can find out very little about her I know she went to the US to live returning in the 1970s with George to live in Glasgow until his and then her death in the 1970s.
Can find very few records of Edith or George .Believed to have worked at some time in a secret decoding dept for the Government during ww2 her husband George also has great chunks of his life missing he is possibly believed to had worked for the FBI or CIA at some point .Find very few records of them at all I am even having trouble finding their Birth ,Death and marriage records I understand that George was in the Tank regiment at one time . Very Hard couple to put a time line on at all ???
