Anyone awake enough to help Michael on Tips? I am going out shortly but you lot are much better than me anyway. :)))

Gee Report 18 Jul 2010 09:26

Well you lot were on about a good few things while I ate my bran flakes in bed last night!

My family are experts on most STI's and most of them had one form or another...see I told you I came from a scrubber family;)

My GGParents both lived to their mid 60's having contracted Syphilis in their teenage years. I did have one GParent who went nuts with the disease and was deported from the US after spending time in an institution...he died in a mental hospital aged 44ish

Lots of posts to catch up on. Today. I was at work again yesterday and then went to my daughters for a huge chinese takeaway and lots of wine.

Slept the night on the floor cos SIL did not put the stopper in the airbed properly. Hips hurt now.

Got someone working on the leaky shower again.
They havee had to take off the new tiles and replace all the plaster board.
I wonder if they need thir trees doing?

Hmm.

So what did I miss?

Some seems to have shaken the boat a bit. PM please so I know what to look out for.

Gee

Gee Report 18 Jul 2010 14:04

Second coat on. Now JB (if he were here) would say it doesnt need another coat...

...I like things done proper like so it's having another coat tonight!

Mind you I would recommend Dulux. Paint onto bare plaster and you could get away with two coats...thats not half bad in my books

LK.... dont know what you missed hun?

Sylvia -- problem is the thread doesn't sink if you don't post in it. It rises to the top every single time anyone else posts in it, if you posted in it even once.

I have several of these monsters in my "my threads" -- half of the first page of "my threads" consists of them sometimes. I'm going to make a point of not posting in such things in future for the most part. The Canucks one on General, I posted in that like a year ago. It's still going, and still appearing regularly in my "my threads". Trying to find my one post in it to delete, aargh.

It's the pro-con of the "my threads" thing, and the counterpart pro-con of allowing people to delete their own posts (a bizarre function that does not exist at normal internet boards; not even editing is allowed after a certain period of time). People start deleting their posts in a thread they're no longer interested in, and sometimes that's a shame. (I have a few favourite threads I sometimes like to look at, and now they're the moth-eaten remnants of their former glory.)

Fanny goes into a fit of Jealousy.

I wann see Shrek 3 too.

Glad you told Sylvia off there JC cos I knew she was wrong on what she said about the thread thing but I was brought up to respect my elders and certainly never to tell them outright that they were wrong on something.
But now that you have.....

You got it wrong SylviaIC..:((

Gee

Gee Report 18 Jul 2010 17:52

Have you been in the Shrek 4D thingy in Orlando. It's a 3 D cinema but you get 4D effects like having liquid splashed in your face (tiny amount) when Shrek sneezes

...or your seat shaking when they are in the carriage etc etc

I didnt know the film was out yet....fancy it Tue night Fans?

You'll cop it now Fans!!

Lovely subjects you've been covering lately!! There was a display at a flower festival I went to recently which looked like a bad case of gonorrhea,,,

.....thought you might like to know that!

In the Medway City Ark records, I found a baptism in my family where the vicar had written......."Caroline Goodwin is the wife of Edward Goodwin. The child's father is Robert Lewis, Labourer. " Oops. Throws the tree out a bit then.....luckily not a line I was going down.

Sorry that thread went yesterday..... a fine bit of rhetoric all round!!

Finished all my messaging for today.....hopefully the little dears will return and reply to all you searchers..........[I believe in miracles remember]...lol

Lovely sunny day here

One day of quiet before the tribe arrives!

Possible labour disruptions at Vancouver Airport tomorrow, may only affect departing passengers ........ something about people who re-fuel planes having served 72 hours strike notice.

Please pray that it doesn't last 3 weeks, or my s-i-l will be having conniptions. He can't stand any change to plans made!
