Yes - Jax and Flick had a look
http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=1229991&px=0

Born 1899 Dorchester - baptised Holy Trinity Church
Frederick John Palmer - on census a John - but always called Jack

I think my beloved sister is losing her memory - now she is saying - " You know he may have married - but I do not remember his wifes name - do not think I ever saw her !! - also said Funeral was at Beckenham Kent - now saying it might not be his funeral she is thinking of !!!

So am a total loss - poor old sole - my Uncle Jack I mean not my sister - Oh thinking of it she is also

My whole tree all done - just him and my Grannies younger brother - a Frederick Turner Martinstown 1878 - not seen since 1891 census ( he has been searchedfor on threads and independantly by Michelle of Brick Walls - (but working and replying from the same thread number )- I hate the name Frederick

Spoiling my wonderful tree

Her lift for the day has let her down so can I take her to Swansea please.

I HATE going there and as HID did it yesterday I feel obliged.

Grrrrrr

What is this MUST visit everyday.

OK so he is now waiting for a double bypass, but whats wrong with their mobile phones a day here or there.

There is a bus that can be taken, which I will suggest today I think.

Oh dear FBG - not like you to be grumpy. Hope journey not too bad.

Ginny

Popped on to tell you I've bought a couple of paperbacks through Amazon as a present from me to me. Pretty sure if I had picked up The Book Thief in a shop I wouldn't have bought it but I'll give it a go. Now, The Gargoyle looks more my cup of tea although having read the first few pages must say it is not my usual light bedtime reading:-)))

About the bird noises. Sounds to me as if it could have been a couple of blackbirds protecting their nest. They do make a continuous din if they see a cat or other predator too close until they see it leave. Do you see a lot of blackbirds about?

Aw Fans.......it's called 'love'. When my OH had his quad bypass, they couldn't keep me away. I wasn't really into driving long distances then and friends were absolutely brill with me...... I was so appreciative....as your friend will be of you.

Noisy birds.........who called our Gins a noisy bird then??

[Jeanie, she wouldn't know a blackbird from a pterodactyl but don't say I said so!]

Ironing? Bedrooms? Ironing? Bedrooms? toss a coin.

I think ironing wins at the mo.

Feel sorry for those helping on this thread [not me particulary as my input is juvenile] but he is very negative

Beware though Gins !! - Did you know that female blackbirds are 'brown'??

They do make that 'clacking noise with their beaks when they are threatened !!

I have a 'threesome' in my garden who have been there for years - fighting each other. (Two males and one female!!)

Quite a pain really but I have to say 'consistant' !!

Just to 'lighten' things a little - I went to the hairdressers today to have my hair cut.

My very young hairdresser said - OOhh your hair is VERY soft!

I replied, "thank you but I don't use any of your expensive products, just the normal 'shake and vac' " - I REALLY meant ''Wash and go' but the sound and the idea is similar ?? (It's an age thing)

Does anyone else use 'Shake and Vac' for really shiny soft hair ???

Just come back from the eye clinic after being poked and prodded.
Still no definite answer,
Just have to learn to live with flashy bits and spiders.
Still monitering for glaucoma.

Dea

Dea Report 28 Jul 2010 15:31

OOOhh LK - That sounds 'poor' - I have flashy bits and spiders and I take a whole load of heavy medication which can lead to Glaucoma so really must make an appointment to have it checked out!

The thing is - I have SO many health appointments that I never seem to get around to the 'Optician' one.

Oh - Rene - How I really miss 'Fiesta time' - All that singing and dancing in the streets and all the food set out on long tables or 'coal barbacues' in the earth with Iron grates placed on top to cook the food !!

You are SO lucky........ !!

By the way - I too am not young and beautiful anymore but 'hey ho !! ' - at least we are wiser and have a lot of memories!!

I know you are right LK but - 2 years ago I was quite 'fit and well' - since then, I have had so many serious medical problems diagnosed that there is a limit to how many things you want to look into for fear of finding 'yet another' .

I WILL get around to it but I have a list and it is about the third 'new one' down to investigate.

I will get there in the end (if I am still here - tee hee!!!)
