My mother-in-law was Doreen Mary Doyle born Blackpool 1920 her parents were Gilbert John Doyle and Elsie Senior nee Wild she was supposed to be married to Doyle (re Doreen's Birth Certificate) all that I know is that he was supposed to be an Irish/American, but all my research has resulted in zero. Doreen was taken to Manchester as a baby, she was left to be brought up by a Mrs Fletcher. Doreen met her mother again in her teens. No idea what happened to Gilbert. Any info on Gilbert J Doyle would be gladly appreciated. Thanks Carole

	Not seeing a marriage to Doyle though The fact that Doreen was fostered out suggests her mum was left stranded and couldn't look after her .maybe she needed to work . Any idea what happened to her son Joseph Edit maybe ??? 	According to tree on Ancestry which maybe Carole's! Elsie born about 1887/8 died 1970 as Elsie Senior. There was a Gilbert John Doyle born 1880 died 1974.In Romsey Hampshire Maryb

Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 6 Send Message	Hi All, I do have Doreen's birth certificate, it states Gilbert John Doyle as ex Army, Trapeze Artist. Elsie was born in Yorkshire where she married James, they had a son Joseph Morris Senior 1915. James was killed 1916 WW1. Joseph was killed WW2. I think Elsie was working in Blackpool as a nurse/nanny, this may have been where she met Gilbert. Thank you for your help so far, I know this is a hard one!! Carole Address on Birth Certificate 43 Tyldesley Rd, Blackpool, also 214 Whitegate Drive.

	Carole, I've tried searching the 1911 census just using the surname Doyle and putting in a keyword such as Trapeze, Artiste, Circus etc. but still no joy finding him.
