I am trying to discover my family connection to this and/or the characters involved in this. I remember my mother making reference to this when I was a child- I am now in my 60s and her saying that her father would never discuss it as it was a dark part of the family history. I think that she felt he was ashamed. My mothers maiden name was Ellis although I can't be sure if that was the line of connection. Other surnames in the family include Brown and Gooding(s). Also some of the Christian names involved follow through that side of our family. Can anyone out there shed any light on this for me or even suggest a line of enquiry I might take as I am at somewhat of a dead end |
