I have tried the 1881 just putting her Christian name in with husband peter and then added the son Jacob

Still nothing

It may be it's not been transcribed by name

My grandfather doesn't show on the 1901 census but putting in the address on FMP and the area we know they lived in found the census sheet

None of the other names on the sheet show up by doing a name search

This may be the same for the .1881 for the Ruff family

This is the daughter Anna Katherina with husband and family on 1891 I think :

It does say 'Caroline' on the image but it must be them as they are living with Peter and Sophia.


Anna Katharina's address on marriage in October 1881 was 9 Little Turner St but she isn't there on 1881 census.

I was just a bit confused with the birth and marriage details that Chris Ho found 10/2/17 08:03

For the birth the residence is shown as Battersea but the place as Whitechapel

and for the marriage again the marriage place is shown as Battersea but it was registered in Whitechapel.

Also I cannot find them in 1861.

Could thie be them in 1861? Both born Germany. I'm not convinced that her name is Susan, the writing is terrible.
