Find Ancestors

Hi

I have this chap on the 1861,1871 and 1891 census but can't find him on 1881. Nor can I find his death. I have digi copies of 2 deaths but neither are him (1901 and 1921)

John Haworth b.1852 in Leigh (known as Westleigh'Pennington) Lancashire. Parents Joseph and Mary Ann (nee Leigh)

His wife is Mary (nee Parker). Several trees on A. have her as Esther Mary but that is another person altogether.

John and Mary have children: Joseph, William, Simeon, Ellen, John, James, Alice, Mary Ann and Eli.

The other family have similar names.

If anyone can help, I would be grateful. It may be tomorrow before I can return but thanks for any help received. Cx

his marriage was in 1870, and the children's YOBs were Joseph 1871, William 1872, Simeon 1874, John 1876, James 1877, Alice 1880, Mary Ann 1883.

The 1881 that ErikaH mentions - the writing is awful, don't think even reporting it would get FMP to change the transcription but will try

NO. WRONG WILLIAM.
1901 and 1911 censuses both say this one was born in Burnley.

I found the 1881 info simply by looking for Simeon, born c1874 and living in Lancashire, his being the least common forename.
