How many of you share a family legend of being descended (illegitimately of course) from The Old Fox, Simon Fraser, Lord Lovatt or his son? I have an ancestor Alexander Simon Fraser, born about 1750 somewhere in Scotland who served in the 38th Foot, 1st Staffordshire, and 4th Royal veterans, reputed to be such an offspring. He married twice, firstmarriage details unknown. Second to Rebecca Andrews in Bury St Edmunds in 1814. Through this site I have traced other descendents through different branches with the same legend. Are there any more of you out there? Descendents include Cobb, Yoldon, Sinclair, Bennett. |

Thanks Kath and Shirley. I'm going to try and remove me email address and will take your suggestions on how to possibly send a private message to Angela. |
