I was born in Manchester in 1944, I my mother, Marrie Mc Donough (nee Dempsey) who lived in 85 Chester Street, Chorlton on Medlock, Manchester 15, gave birth to me on the 23rd December 1944 in St mary's Hospital Manchester. The birth was registered on the 15th january 1945, and my fathers name was Edward Mc Donough. I truly believe my mother was a good catholic girl who got herself into trouble as they say and came over from ireland to England to have her baby, secretly and quietly. Allthough my farthers name does not officialy appear on the original birth certificate, it was provided to ma at a later date when I started to try and trace my mother and father. I was taken to the Franscican Convent in salford from where I was addopted by a couple who lived in Blackburn Lancashire. I would dearly love to trace who my parents are, or indeed any other members of the family who may know the history of any brothers or sisters that I may have but know nothing about. Thanks. |
