Yes its makes you feel funny doesn't it.

I went to a couple of churches i Devon that a lot off my ancestor where married in and you could just imagine them walking along in their long dresses.

ok so known facts are williams.... and 1891 have you calculated whether she was in her 21st year upon marriage? or was she just 20 etc?

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 4 Sep 2007 02:09

we visited 5 graveyards in a day and photographed as many graves with the relevant surname as possible... i'm now in the process of adding dates to know people and keeping the rest til the tree data grows...

well we're going thru something similar, only not so tragic, my partners dad lost his father when he was 3 and his mother when he was 16. We visited the village in lancashire where they originated from and we got to go into the church his parents were married at. A very very surreal experience....

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 4 Sep 2007 02:06

true

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 4 Sep 2007 02:04

the age on the death cert is often wrong and relies on the person registering the death knowing the facts. he'd just lost his wife and his son had just been born, i supposed we can fogive him for getting the year wrong a little bit !
