Known Census Entry not showing up

I have a zerox copy of an 1841 Census Entry (which I made several years ago in an LDS centre) from the UK, for my Ancestor James BONNETT in Walpole St. Peters, NFK.

When I run a search on this site using all the usual spelling variations it cannot be found. I know the reference HO 107 / 770 / 10. Is there anyway to find a specific image in the database.

Or am I wrong in assuming the entire 1841 Census is on this site?

He's definitely on Ancestry. It may be that GR don't have all details of the census or there has been a mistranscription.

Transcribers are only human! I couldn't find my grandfather on the 1901 census on one site, but he was there on another. It was a household with several different surnames of lodgers and the transcriber for the first site had repeated the surname from the line above.

Transcribers also do not necessarily, let us say, have English as their first language.

Some of the mistakes on the 1911 census make that obvious.

Thanks everyone, I found it on Ancestry too.

The zerox I have is very faint, so a transcription error was very possible.

James BONNETT went to South Australia in 1852 with wife Phoebe & 4 children. I expect you know this by now!!!

Good point Andy, but as Angie has only one post on her profile, she may not have thought to check the date.

Angie - welcome to the boards, if that was indeed your first post.

If you have a family interest in the Bonnetts, you could contact Fraser by clicking on his/her name and sending a PM (personal message).

If he still has the same email address, GR will notify him that you are trying to make contact.

Good luck
