No I don't have the certificate - Vol 26 Page 503 Q1 1851 - and of course it is a guess that Mary llewellyn and Samuel Taylor were the married couple (but it seems possible). Hard to believe there were two Samuels from same place. A conundru |

As Taylor is a very common name anyway why should there not be more than one born in the same place around the same time? I have unusual names where two brothers have both called their children with the same names and even on one occasion both were bapised the same day in the same church |

aaw and there was I thinking we had a bigamist who could be in two places at once (only joking)!!! So guessing that one of them could be the soldier in Cardiff and could have married Mary. Doesn't explain what happened to either of them afterwards but it's a start! |

In October 1860 Mary Taylor marries John Davie in Cardiff. This marriage comes up as a match on my Ancestry account with Mary Llewellyn (have mailed a question) |

Updating...not got the whole story yet. But in contact with a direct descendant of Mary/Samuel and it seems Samuel died in the Crimean War which certainly fits with dates :-) |
