Does anyone have any information regarding the 'troubles' in Egypt after 1945 and into the 1950s. |

Does anyone know whether during the late 1940s/50s Egyptian 'troubles' the evacuees just made their way to the nearest port and then boarded a ship to their country of origin or 'wherever', also did they need official documentation to leave the country? Does any site have records of ships leaving Egypt and the people on those crafts? I would be grateful for any suggestions. |
