Your story made me smile PP. My daughter has one of her middle names as the female and shorter version of her that of her maternal grandfather. The male or female version has been carried on in the familynow for four generations. |

You will find that lots of 1st names that we would consider surnames will occur in order to keep a wifes maiden name (often used as a middle name as well) or to appease a rich rellie. |

Hi just wondering if anyone knows if this was a common name in Victorian England-it was the middle name of my Grandad and I always wondered about it-when i came onto genes reunited found out he had a granfather and uncle with Osmond as first name -just curious thanks |
