View other trees - New site

Just checking out the new site.
I am having a problem with View other trees drop down menu.
The box opens fixed down to the bottom of the screen.

On my 15" laptop screen you can't see the bottom of the box so the page numbers do not show up.
As it is not a floating box there is no way to move it to actually get to the bottom.

On my large 21" PC screen I can just about see the bottom but still have to move the GR window pane to the very top of the screen before I can get to the page numbers at the very bottom of the View other trees box.

Anybody else have this problem?

It's the new improved version of the old new improved version of the new tree on GR.

If it's the same problem i encountered You will need to use the zoom out facility in your browser to see the whole list

You could use the original old tree instead

Hover your mouse over the Family tree tab at the top of this page and a drop down box will appear then select "use old tree"

but still report the fault to the GR support team

Yes I tried the zoom option - reduced to 75% and it works.
Bit rediculous - wish I'd noticed it before yesterday.

I have been using the old tree as it is much easier and quicker.
Sadly it is going soon

However was at GR office yesterday looking at some of the proposed changes.
Most are very good but better wait until they mention them. :-( :-(

I doesn't matter how good or great any of the proposed changes are,

If the site has faults these changes/improvement will be useless if they don't work as has been the case with most changes so far

Do yourself a favour and make sure you have a exported Gedcom
backup and a tree program on your PC

I won't be using the new/new/improvedhaha tree until it works PROPERLY!!

My subs are due for renewal soon, I don't want to waste the money

Wouldn't suggest anybody leave GR I did for a couple of months but came back.

Could find anything wrong with the new site from their office that
is why I was checking my own this morning. Seems OK now

Had to edit this message because they are removing the old tree sometime today

I am glad I dont use the tree on here, otherwise it looks like I would have another reason to leave this site next month :-)

I have just discovered why I don't have a View other trees box. It's because I have a long name and the box is completely hidden under the Search Box!!!

My contacts list is also fixed to the bottom of the screen, but on full screen I can just see the page nos. at the bottom. Zooming in doesn't make any difference though. All it changes is the tree boxes, not the Dashboard (silly name).

My subscription also runs out in August, but I shall probably renew as I like the Boards.
