Canadian Passenger Lists 1890

My Gt Grandmother went to Canada in 1890. By her name on the ships list is a small v There is also a v against the name above hers. No one else on the page has a v next to their name
Has anyone out there any idea what this v could mean.
She sailed on the Allan Line ship the Circassian

Thanks for the offer of help but I have done all the research as I have been doing it for 27 years just wanted to know what the v meant

Susan, I would hazard a guess that v = visitor.

But, as Gins says, having a look at the record always helps. We don't presume to redo your research but if you're asking for help it aids us if we can see the bigger picture.
