Hi Rose, I have just replied to your message, it looks to me like the details came from an unsourced tree on Ancestry, so I will have a look at other records .

I have found a similar problem with my family. I have quite a lot of records for 'John North' and am still unravelling which is which! I have definitely found at least four individuals who were cousins/nephews/uncles, all around at the same time. Families were large in the eighteenth/nineteenth centuries and it is quite common for there to be 20yrs between youngest and oldest. I also have three siblings named John in one family, the youngest two unfortunately dying in infancy. i would keep researching and hopefully you will be able to separate out the individuals.

I think it's possible that the younger marriages (unless you have more specific age details) are a cousin or uncle, not the same John...it seems from family search to be quite a common name in the area.

dear all

can someone help me
my relative the above gentleman was married 4 times
1st time in 1664 when he was 9 yrs old
2nd time when he was 10 yrs old in 1665
3rd time in 1682 when he was 27 yrs
4th time when he was 44 yrs in 1699
all to differant females

can anyone explain why the earlier two unions at such a young age

he was a yeoman in frodsham
