As if they are not hard enough to find

Looking on 1911 on An-----ry,on record it says Mr F----- no christian name, 1 male 2 females,clicked on original,and it is a different form to other 1911 and only lists Mr F----- same for all 2 pages,cant find him on 1901 so is there anyway to see who lived at that address in 1901 Sheila

I believe that it is possible to search the 1901 census by address using FMP.

Perhaps if you post the address someone will look it up for you.

is Fmp not free as there are 5 address up to now, think they did a large part of Leicester this way ??

FMP is not a free site but there are some pretty helpful members of GR who subscribe to it so I am pretty sure that if you asked nicely someone would oblige you.

That sounds like you are looking at the census summary books rather than the actual census.

It should be possible to see the actual census sheets on Ancestry unless they have made a mistake in loading the correct sheets for that district.

Sheila7, Ancestry have mistranscribed Farren as Farress at 116 Brook Street which is why you could not find him.

It is on Page 356 of District 28 of North West Leicester.
