Beyond 1911 I cannot find out whether he died before adulthood, died during WWI, died in old age, married etc, etc.
If anyone can offer some suggestions I will be most appreciative.

Since you do not know anything about him since 1911 it would appear that he was not one of your direct ancestors.
He may have been too young to have been involved in WW1 until at least 1916 when conscription of males over 18 years old began. Places to look would be Ancestry for WW1 service records, Pension records and Medal index cards. For casulties look on www.cwgc.org
If he married it could have been any time from 1914 onwards. For possible records up to about 1955 look on www.freebmd.org.uk After about 1955 to 2005 look on FMP or Ancestry.
For possible death record look at the same 3 sites mentioned above.
For a possible will (Up to 1966) look at Probate Calendars at Ancestry.
For possible emigration (Up to 1960) check passenger lists of those leaving the UK at FMP. For possible return to the UK look at the incoming passenger lists at Ancestry.
Good luck.

Thank You to Jonesy, Kath and Anne.
The information from the Probate for the 1963 death may fit, but it's a definite lead that I would like to follow up.
Albert James would have been a G-Uncle, and was the only one of my grandfather's siblings I was uncertain about. As my late father shared those forenames I had perhaps wondered if he had died before my father was born, but that now looks unlikely.
Once again, thanks for replying and taking your time to help.
