For the past ten years or more I have been unable to get past my 3 x great grandfather ( paternal) Samuel Barraclough. I obtained his marriage certificate (1850) and where it normally states the grooms fathers name and occupation it states Lydia Barraclough ( his mother) and occupation single women. |
