Possible marriage of Charles and Eleanor (but would need the birth certificate of Charles William to be certain):- |

You shouldn't have to buy credits if you have a 14 day free trial. It's a couple of years since I had a subscription to Ancestry but perhaps Roy can help with how to see the records. |

Im on Ancestry, registered for the 14day free trial last night but in order to view records i have to buy credits. Yes back in those days they didnt really care much for the correct spelling on official records but i have been assured that we are "Thomsons" haha. Im still very new to it so im not entirely sure on the best methods of research. |

Not really the best site for research although the community boards are very good for getting help. |

The Thompson surname definitely seems to have the "p" in it on all of these records. |

In view of the information in the 1911 census posted by Roy this looks a more likely birth:- |

Pork_Pie, youve got it, i know my Dads got an aunt called Vera, uncle Charles (named after his fathers sake) and also a Kathy who is the only child to change their name to McQuade when their mother remarried. How did you manage to find those records so quickly? Ive been searching since last night! Thank you so much :D |
