I couldnt recommend My Heritage to anyone. It it a browers HI-JACKER it will change home page to My Heritage home page. And it asumes that everyone comes from the USA.For Instants I had a lot of ancestors born in birmingham , and when i ask it to produce a map were everyone was born it put 90% of my ancestors in every country a part from the UK.I Hate any program that assumes things and changes things with out telling me first so i can stop it from doing it |

Well I used PAF until I changed computers and then I thought just like you that I would like to try another one, in the end I got FTM12 after looking at all the others. |

A lot depends on personal preference. I tried a few first but settled on Family Tree Maker (FTM) which I have used now for ten years |
