The actual marriage was held at St George's Chapel, Windsor but there were celebratory events throughout the whole of England. |

I've tried to find something in the London Gazzette and nothing shows for him or the celebration. |

Please can anybody assist Me with this query,as I cannot find where the celebration was held,or what regiment He would have been in,as He was a stonemason by profession,so presumably it would have been a local auxillary unit?My Great Grandfather James Robert Jones was injured when firing a cannon(according to the Coroners report)on the 10th March 1863,during the celebrations for the Wedding of Princess Alexandra of Denmark and the Prince of Wales, this must have been somewhere in London due to the fact that He was taken to Kings College Hospital in Portugal Street in London, the following day the 11th March because debris from The cannon had landed on his foot damaging the foot,He later got gangrene and the leg was removed at the knee, but he never recovered and died in hospital on the 23rd.June1863.He lived at North Hill in Highgate in North London.with His Wife:Fanny, son william John, and daughters Sarah Sophia,Fanny, and Son Oswald James |
