Hi I am trying to find out about the Merchant ship Defiance. My family were on board her at the time of the 1871 census. The Masters name was Thomas Mapplebeck/ Mapplebick. I have tried using Google but havent had much luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I would like to know more about the boat and what it was upto in 1871. |

Just to point out to other helpers that info on the Mapplebecks themselves has been found on Jane's other threads on Find Ancestors. |

Oh no, Jane - there's nothing wrong, it's just that people may have started looking the census up and posting them. |
