Can anyone suggest where I could look and research army archives please. My Gr Grandfather joined the army in 1879 in Liverpool and was part of the Royal Scottish Borderers. He wasn't Scottish so I'm wondering why he was in this section of the army. I have his army number and have info that he served in India. |
