No connection, just one of those tangents that some of us head off on at times. I was looking at the crews for ships in port in Grimsby 1881 to try to help answer a GR question and I spotted the entry for this ship.
I was fascinated to know where all these passengers were heading for. I assumed the US but I've not looked yet to see if I can find them in England in 1891. What puzzles me just as much is that there is not one single crewmember shown as being onboard.
I think I've found a ship called Lincoln heading to South Australia in 1865 so maybe this was the same ship as in 1881. I wondered if they were sailing from Germany and just happened to be in port on Census night.
I would love to know where these people were emigrating to.
