Sorry Shirley, I'm getting confused to who I have replied to, yes Shirley the info that you came me came in very handy, with lots of info, on her family. I'm beginning to realise that tracing your family tree isn't as easy as I first thought , and I'm gratefull for all info I can get , :-D |

Thanks Christina, I did think she might ad gone to be a servant, (most young girls did) my mom remembers she eventually went to live in London, my mom dont know much about her mothers family as her mother died when she was young and she was brought up by her dads family :-) |

In the 1901 census there is another daughter Lily who was the eldest. child of Cornelius and Florence Bennett, she was 6 in 1901, she is not in the 1911 census household, anyone got any ideas how I could trace what happen to her :-D |

You will only know by buying the cert I,m afraid as its after 1911 when they could be checked on the census |

I'm looking for a marriage for a Gertrude Bennett born 1898 in Birmingham, father Cornelius bennett mother Florence (nee Townsend) I have a poss match for a Edward Stapleton, how do I know this is right person, dont want to spend time to find I have wrong person :-D |
