Hi Steve,
I see you are researching the name Barlase, but down here in Cornwall the name Borlase is much more common. I just wonder if the name has been misspelt or mistranscribed somewhere along the line and it may be worth you looking at Borlase instead?

Sources of Records before 1st July 1837
Before 1st July 1837, the principal means of recording births (or baptisms), marriages and deaths (or burials) were parish registers kept by clergymen of the Church of England. I am looking for any kind of information on John Barlase married to Elizabeth Buck on the 5th June 1787 in St Agnes Cornwall I know they had a son John born on 8th of November 1792 but can't find any other children,
