In 1940 and 1941 I lost my parents and us 3 were placed in an orphanage so did not know who we belonged or even where our siblings were as one was fostered, one adopted and one was taken care of by the Salvation Army. After 25years we found each other . Although 2 of us had names changed we secured our original birth certs and started the search. The eldest placed an advert in the Sunday News of the World lost and found column and traced the youngest then found me through a photo I had taken years ago. The youngest has since died at age 30yrs but now have a good relationship with my brother although we are living miles apart the eldest living in Canada. I have traced a few relatives and am still trying to add to my tree. |
