I was watching something on TV the other day....probably the Chaser and a question came up about Bob Wilson the ex Arsenal goalkeeper (In my following the game days). His middle name was Primrose too

So Primrose may have been his mothers maiden name then? as he was Scottish?

The thing about his middle name is that his mates probably did know. And he could have had the nickname 'flower'

My dad's was 'spindle' as he was tall and thin.

If you put 'primrose' for 1st name and specify 'male' on Ancestry there are loads! Who would have thought it?
