could you please help me, l would like to a M/C,l have the date and the names and the area.but no volume number or page number. l found it on England & Wales 1538-1940.

Hi Glitter baby.,yes l did get it on Ancestry database E&W marriages 1538-1940. ldid view it,but they havent given me the vol or page numbers,thank you for your reply.

Certificates didn't come into being until 1837. You must have been looking at a parish record.

No there is nothing there to view in the Wiltshire marriages and baptisms on ancestry.

The details you would have seen was whether they were of the parish, bachelor/spinster, widow/widower...who performed the marriage and a couple of witnesses
