Members might be interested to take a look at a website dedicated to gleaning more family history information from old postcards. Most postcard collectors have a few batches of cards that were collected by one member of a family but later scattered. The aim of this site is to try and list as many cards as possible and connect folk researching family history with the collectors who hold the cards. |

It's quite surprising what a handful of postcards can reveal ! I have 15 cards sent to a young lady who moved to London in 1900 to work for the GPO. These few cards led me to 4 addresses for her ,including where she worked, two of them matching up with census entries in 1901 and 1911 and two additional addresses for her father who had meanwhile remarried and would have been difficult to find.. She was not a member of my family but I would dearly like to pass the cards on to some one researching the BORROW family. |

How interesting - you could try searching trees on here to see if anyone has them listed. Or alternatively, follow up on the descendents and try and contact living ones. |

Thanks for your encouragement, friend. I have taken a peek at the Find Ancestors page and will probably venture there sooner or later.....not quite ready to part with my postcard treasure yet! |
