London Registration Districts

Good Evening

Does anyone know of a site where I can view London Districts i.e Westminster, Camberwell in detail or will I have to buy a detailed map of London. If so where is the best place to find this?

I'm more interested in the actual boundries found on a geographical map, sorry if I mis-worded my query.

http://maps.familysearch.org/

click on the area of the map that you want then zoom in to see the boundries also use the search plus select from the drop down box for required boundry

The FS URL Roy gave gives the 1850s parishes.
There's also a "Layers" tab at top of left column that lets you overlay the civil registration district, too.

Registration districts and geographical areas seldom coincide.

Try googling for maps of the areas in which you are interested

Like Reggie I too was going to suggest just looking at a map of London which will show you just where areas are in London

But beware there are name places in London which appear both sides of the river

Bromley by Bow - E. London
Bromley - S. London

Woolwich - just to confuse the family historian is on both sides of the river North Woolwich is E. London

And postcodes do not always help

SW London is the only district in London to cover both sides of the river. My OH is a postmen and only recently (when pointed out to him by a smug me) that Fulham is not South of the River but North, I had to get a map to show him before he believed me!!!

I have visited every Delivery Office in SE & SW London during my time working with Royal Mail, so I knew ...... :-D

Researching:
We are all of us in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars, Oscar Wilde New avatar, my dad age about 3/4 months, could have been worse, it could have been the awful nude on a rug!!
