	Just back from a month in Edinburgh including 6 whole days in the S.P. centre at Register House. What a brilliant service. 15 pounds a day (0900 - 1630), comfortable seats and roomy desks. Lightning fast computers and an easy to use search system with help (real humans) on hand all the time. It's taken me five days to copy all the finds into my system. On the downside the beautiful Adam Dome is closed and may be turned into some sort of function room. The café is still a bit basic and very expensive. I'd recommend the Guildford Arms pub just by West Register house for good soup and bar meals or sandwiches as well as a midday pint. Can't wait for my next trip!

	Glad you had a great time Malcolm. The cafe is a bit pricey. There is a very reasonable one near the Guildford Arms. It's first street on the right passed the main entrance of the pub. It is basic but you can sit in for hot and cold filled rolls, tea, coffee etc. My friend and I go through to the Scotlandspeople Centre 3 or 4 times a year (even though the Glasgow place is nearer). Lovely peaceful atmosphere in the Scotlandspeople Centre and great value for money.
