One person appears twice in family tree

Perhaps I should have written:-

One thing is certain, in the Ancestors View these children SHOULD only be displayed with three sets of grandparents.

It actually displays four sets - with one pair twice......

EDIT
Got that wrong. My posts should read greatgrandparents (usually four sets) not grandparents (hopefully two sets!)

Why waste effort duplicating people and adding notes when you only have to use the Find Existing facility.

I have a marriage between first cousins. They had two children. As Reggie suggests, I have just made notes. For this case I have the husband in twice. Once as a son (with no wife/children) and once as a husband.

One thing is certain, in the Ancestors View these children could only be displayed with three sets of grandparents.

I doubt that the GR software is up to that? Nor any other.

Managed to resolve by deleting one entry and then:

Add
Spouse
and then Use Find Existing

Thanks for the advice though.

In theory you should be able to merge the two entries.
Try deleting the husband and then adding him again.

Add Spouse

Add NewFind Existing<<<<<<<<<<

Enter the name of the person you are looking for in the search box.

You can also search by year of birth or death. You can add the details in any

order, but they must be separated by commas

e.g. Isambard, Kingdom, Brunel, 1806

My uncle on my mothers side used to be married to my mother-in-laws auntie - how can i show that the two entries are the same person?
