Just noticed the death reg of Percival is consecutive with Caroline's, so she must have died in childbirth or soon after :-(

Was Albert a policeman?

The Sydney Morning Herald, Tuesday 19 April 1932
PAINTER CHARGED
Bruno Urbanski, 50, painter, was charged on two counts with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. It was alleged that at Darlinghurst on December 11 last he assaulted Eric Traynor Smith, George William Robinson, and Albert Edward Saville.
It was alleged that at a political meeting at King's Cross, Urbanski had thrown cayenne pepper into the eyes of the three policemen mentioned in the indictment. A police cordon had been formed around a meeting which Constable Smith said was being held by Communists. The surrounding crowd was singing and commenced to push toward the cordon. Accused it was stated, was inside the ring, and tried to break through. Constable Smith pushed him back. The accused came on again and from a distance of three feet put his hand in his pocket withdrew the pepper, and threw it in Constable Smith's eyes. Constable Smith was two months and 20 days off duty as a result, and his eyes were still weak.


Though I am confused about the Albert Edwin (as per the census) and Albert Edward (as per the marriage)...to complicate matters further, there were 2 (unrelated) Albert E SAVILLEs born in NSW, one in 1903 and one in 1909.

Edith was born c1891 in UK, daughter of Wm Jno & Marinda; she remarried in 1945 and died in 1962 aged 71. Possible remarriage for him in 1953 to Florence Henrietta MAHER (as Albert Edwin) (edit: this fits death and burial, below, as correct Albert E snr)

Possible marriage for the son as Albert Edward SAVILLE marriage in 1942 to Evelyn May PERRIN in Port Macquarie, and yet another in 1955 to Helen GIBSON in Five Dock. !!!

I am thinking the other sons (Thos & James) did not marry.

Wm Jno SAVILLE married Hilda May BERMINGHAM in 1957 (late marriage!) in Sydney (reg 22301). She died in 1971 in Gosford district (reg 57567), daughter of Hy & May.

Just found headstone of Albert Edwin - he was 93 when he died in 1984, so born c1891, which fits your man. He and Florence are buried at Noraville Cemetery.
