Hello, I have Holmes Victoria Wilson born 1834 in Newcastle, Northumberland. She married Robert Shield (born 1834 in Scotland) in 1858, in Gateshead, County Durham. I have been unable to trace her parents and siblings names and was hoping somebody could check the census records between her being born and getting married. Homles is an unusal christian name so thought perhaps this was her Mothers maiden name although that is usually used as a middle name.. Thank you xx |

Interesting, I have noticed that Holmes has been used as a male and female namethe mind boggles. |
