Hi, Ive found out the marriage date and where, of one of my ancestors but as it was in 1810 there is nothing about their fathers on the page. would sending for the actual marriage cert give me those details or were they not recorded then. |

I can't remember when printed pages were introduced for marriage registers, but one I have here dated 1792 shows the couples names and whether they were of that parish and whether married after Banns. |

There wont be a marriage cert as it pre 1837 . What you may find is the Parish record of the marriage but it wont show fathers , sometimes tho the witnesses may have been family which may help identify the right family |

If there is an on line Parish Clerk site for the area you are researching they often have transcript of early parish marriage record including fathers and witnesses sometimes banns too - saved myself cost of quite a few certs. Lancashire on Line is very good. Also for a relative married in Willenhall Staffs I simply put name of church and "registers" in general search engine and a link to free list of marriages (including fathers and occupation ) popped up as a suggestion - random action sometimes works. |

If http://www.freereg.org.uk/ have transcribed the marriage, they will have listed the witnesses as well. |
