Drayton Bassett does come under Lichfield doesn't it - it sounds to me like this is her parish of residence, but doesn't necessarily mean her birthplace. |

In 1838, Drayton Bassett was a parish in Tamworth union. (The initial rego districts coincided with the poor-law unions.) It straddled the Staffs-Warwick boundary until the boundary changes of the 1890s. It remained in Tamworth RD until the RD was abolished in 1939q4, and Tamworth RD was split between Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield RDs with Drayton Bassett going to Lichfield RD. |
