St Mary's Reports referred to them as 'the Country Branches' so I think you are safe in assuming that the Village Branch means Prestbury Hall. If you can get to Poynton, Prestbury or Macclesfield Library they each have a reference copy of a short book on the History of Collar House, including its use by St Mary's in the War. I was born at Collar House and my birth cert says St Mary's Prestbury. |

My friend's son was born in the back of an ambulance parked in a layby on the A39. His BC states The Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske. |

Reggie, I was born on the 3rd of August 1945 in The Mosley Room in Prestbury Hall, Prestbury. Cheshire. but my birth certificate says St. Mary's Macclesfield too. |
