Missing Old Search

I know how to switch between the old search and new search on Anc--try but this afternoon the search boxes on the old search have disappeared.

Is this just me?? I don't like the new search and tto get the old search boxes to return have tried logging out and back into the site

Same for me....Well for parts of the site anyway.

For example the 1851 shows the search boxes but not the 1871.

I do hope it is a temporary glitch....Like you I do not like the 'New' search :-(

It was working fine until a couple of hours ago.

Thanks - If its not back tomorrow I will contact them. At least it's not just me.

It started by the search function disappearing at the bottom of a page after I made a search, so I was forced to go back to the home page and that's when I first found the old search was missing :-(

I had this problem earlier too - specifically with the US 1830 on both the .uk and .com sites, but it now seems to be resolved, and I've got my search box back (all on old style).

I had no search boxes at all on any census for a while. Was OK after a reboot.

Have noticed the box to tick for uk only search at the bottom of the search box has gone so if you don't say England or Wales etc you get USA etc come up and you have to sift through. Annoying when you may want Wales or Scotland as you don't know where your ancestor may have moved too
