Right and it is FREE to join the TPS - so what on earth are the records that this 'ukphonebook' accesss to????

TPS is where you request your number to be excluded from all UK cold calling.

So are TPS selling now their records??

This site sounds decidedly dodgy to me ;-)

Sorry, Paul, I have to disagree.

I believe there are a few electoral rolls on line (Birmingham for one?) and the basic information on London registered companies can be found below. If you want to see accounts etc. then you have to pay.

Find information

WebCHeck

The WebCHeck service offers a searchable Company Names and Address Index free of charge which enables you to search for information on over 2.7 million companies. The searches can be carried out on a company either by using its name or by using its unique company registration number.

That's why i put the heading as Electoral Roll lookups. These are not available for free on any site. Neither are searches of Companies House data. No directory in the UK will ever have access to ex-directory numbers - the clue is in the name.

I will amend my posting so that nobody else is confused by it.

PP, TPS is Telephone Preference Service and CTPS is Corporate Telephone Preference Service

Surely Royal Mail postal address Finder is free through the Royal Mail website?

What are TPS and CTPS registers

UK Telephone directory, thats OK if people are with BT and are no ex-directory. Many people over the years have either left BT or are ex-directory, I went ex-directory when I married in 1978 and parents were always ex-directory as were grandparents.

So unless this 'ukphonebook' has access to ALL telephone numbers in UK this not a useful tool.

Oh and Google Street View is also Free
