Thank you Elizabeth. I will do that but I'm still waiting for a reply from a previous query on why my copy button does not work any more and I'm getting multiple marriages up for the same couple and then can not save the date and place of marriage when this happens. Must fix these bugs soon surely. :-( |

You can try asking GR through "support" for help, but you will have to explain clearly what you are trying to do-if you are lucky they may do it for you :-) |

Thank you. Just tried putting in a mother in higher up through relationships on info panel and it has done something but very confusing not being able to see a large portion of the tree at the same time. It's done a copy but can't work out what. Mind boggling. |

Up till now I have had three separate branches of the Cable family on my tree that were not directly linked but now I have found the link between two of them. James Cable b. 1851 was the Aldeburgh Lifeboat coxswain . Because of this he was mentioned in a book called Sophia's Son by Dorothy Thompson and from that I got the name of his parents and children. I could not find his father's name on any census where he was living with any of my direct ancestors but I now know he is. So I now have a large branch of my tree which I want to move across to my direct line of ancestors. Would anybody be able to advise me on the quickest way to do this without inputting all that info again please. :-S |
