Worth a shot.............if you can give details of when she died, and confirm that she didn't have children, you should stand a pretty good chance

Reggie - thanks for the information. My relative is now deceased but as her nephew I am the closest living relative. Just wondering if this will get me access.

WW2 service records are not available except to proven next of kin.

They cost £30.00

But........the WAAF was the Women's Auxiliary Air Force........nothing to do with the Army.

The Army equivalent was the ATS (Auxiliary Territorial Service) which later became the WRAC

Help please as to where I can find information on a relative who served in the 2nd World War with the WAAF. Is there a central registry? I only know her name and date of birth.
