Iam currently searching for my Grandads sister who as we have found out since getting the death certificate, died whilst in the workhouse in 1921. She was only 13 months old and we cannot seem to find where she is buried. We have contacted the crematorium to see if she was buried in the local cemetery but nothing has shown up. Her father did live in Newton but her burial has not shown their either. I was just wondering if anyone knew of another place where these people were buried? Would it be on the actual site? If anyone could shed any light on where to obtain workhouse records I would really appreciate it. Thank You. |
