I haven't got ANY known photos of my great great grandfather, Robert Henry Shears (1878-1920) and I haven't got photos of any of his ancestors as well. |

No idea where you are talking about or if you live in the area but if you can check out the local library to see if they any copies of newspapers and then look for marriages as they sometimes have photos the week after the event |

From that period you may find that there are no photos to be found. My grandfather was born 1881 and died 1957 and as far as we know there are no known photos of him. He actively stayed away from cameras. |

Hardly anyone will have photos from that era............think about it. Such things are a rarity |

There is a photograph on Ancestry showing Robert Henry Shears, his wife Gwenllian and their children. |

Correction @DF ... That photo does not have Robert Henry Shears (1878-1920) on there as it was taken after he died. |

Don't give up searching. After nine years I finally found a distant second cousin who had a photograph of my mother and her mother. Mother was orphaned at the age of three and brought up by her father's brother families and was allowed no contact with her mother's family, and didn't even have a photo of her mother. But over 80 years later she received a nice framed photo of her and her mother as a present for Mothering Sunday ! |
