3D Tree?

I wish someone would invent a 3D tree, a sort of XYZ matrix where the horizontal axes XY represent geographical location and the vertical Z axis, time.

I use a cardex system to record waifs and strays and periodically manage to fit one of these lost sheep into my actual tree which is of course, two dimensional.

I think a zoomable fly-through model would help to indicate relationships in space and time - colour coding and other tools to highlight the individual entries?

Mind you, my filing system IS 3 dimensional - spread all over the place horizontally and piled high according to how old the data is! :-S

From what I gather on these boards, they cannot get the current tree to work properly, so how on earth would they (GR) manage with a more complex tree!!!!

[email protected] are advertising a 3D Family Tree for £20-42, for Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Vista, which they say is compatible with Family Tree Maker.
