Not quite sure why your firewall would block something that you are trying to upload something that is already on your computer to an external website. |

"Upload" being blocked by "Firewall" - if I deactivate Firewall to allow the upload can I reactivate it afterwards (sorry a bit dim !!) |

Alternatively, once you have a tree in Family Tree Maker, you can upload it to Ancestry by clicking Upload and Link to Ancestry from the Plan workspace within FTM. |

The way to do it is to import the tree to Ancestry using the Gedcom file created from FTM that is on your computer. Start by opening Ancestry and going to "Family Trees" and then "Upload a Gedcom" and then follow the on screen instructions. |

I have a small "branch" tree which I have done on FTM off line-I want to transfer it to Ancestry on line. |
