It may be, of course, that they didn't actually marry.........so the child's birth cert is your best bet

You mean her maiden name, I guess........

The easy answer is to buy the child's birth cert............

If you want us to help you, we need more info............location for a start.

You say she was your grandmother........... so you must be descended from one of her children...which one?

Where and when was he/she born?

Hi I have been trying on and off for 4 years to find my grandmothers Unmarried name I believe she married Henry Roberts, her christian name being Emily, I have aquired a death certificate of her, I think 1st borne Gertrude who would be born in about 1892 Jan-March qtr.
Difficult but is there someone out there that can help PLEASE
